So, New Super Mario Brothers Wii, then?
All done. Every star coin, every level, every hint movie, every bit of it…
…not once, but twice ;)
See them stars on the right? They sparkle, they do :D
(This blog entry was shamelessly stolen from my post on Way of the Rodent‘s forums.)
Heh, such a simple post yet effectively communicates everything you want/need it to.
I do believe some congratulations are in order then. *insert a crowd cheering, the sounds of clapping and confetti floating here*
Considering you only started it a few weeks back, that seems more impressive than it perhaps is. I’ve heard so many conflicting thoughts about this new Mario game — regarding difficulty; the co-op/competitive element; whether it makes 2D Mario games relevant again, etc. — that I’m not sure what to think about it myself anymore. I know I still want it, absolutely, but my god, what an onslaught of different opinions there are out there. Anyway, what’s next?
Deeper analysis may follow, but the short version is that yes, NSMBWii is difficult. Well, tricky, anyway. Certainly harder than NSMB on the DS. But it’s not too difficult, obviously; after all, I managed to five-star it (with sparkly stars, no less ;)
If there’s a question of whether it makes 2D Mario games relevant… well, I’d posit that the questioner is thinking a little too hard. Trying to make a mountain out of a mole-hill. It’s a great game, certainly up there with the best of the year for me, and that alone makes it “relevant”. As for the multiplayer aspect… I can’t offer any opinion on that at all, since I’ve never ducked into the mp mode :}
